¡Bienvenidos a la sociedad española!

Back in Action for Winter Term

Posted by: spansoc on: January 20, 2007

¡Hola a todos!

We hope everyone had a Feliz Navidad y un Feliz Año!

Well, the Winter term is well underway so the Spanish Society is back in action after a snow day put things on hold…

We are in the midst of planning a Spanish Department Formal, hopefully in coordination with Laurier’s LASALAS, as well as planning some events for the term.

Monday afternoon meetings have resumed in ML245B (Spanish Lounge) @ 4:30pm for conversation classes and event planning.

We have two movie nights planned; Tuesday February 6th in MC2065 and the second, Tuesday March 6th in MC2065 both start @ 7:30pm. We plan to show Amores Perros and Y Tú Mama También. Both are classic movies which are always well received.

Salsa lessons have resumed at the Turret at Laurier. If you have left over lessons from last term, they are transferable to this term. They take place on Wednesdays at 8pm.

Hopefully we will see some faces this upcoming Monday in the Spanish Lounge and we can talk some more regarding the Society!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Hasta el lunes,

La Sociedad Española
